For more than twenty-five years, I have been borrowing Scott's button-downs. They were the pieces I reached for without thinking, because they worked with everything.
Long before Heirloom Amalgam existed, I was borrowing Scott's button-downs. For more than twenty-five years they have been one of my favourite layers. Thrown over a tank on cool summer mornings, tied around my waist after an afternoon in the sun, or worn open as the evenings grew cooler. They never felt overstyled. They simply worked.
That simple habit quietly became the inspiration behind the CPO Button Down. From the beginning, we imagined it as the layer you would instinctively reach for. The one waiting by the door before an early walk, tossed over your shoulders after dinner, packed first for a weekend away because you know it will work with almost everything you bring.

Before we design any garment, we ask a simple question. How will this work with the pieces someone already owns? Perhaps that is why I have kept borrowing Scott's button-downs all these years. There is something comforting about a garment that is dependable, familiar, and beautifully uncomplicated. That is exactly what we hoped to make.
